In Situ Simulation — Help Files (Technical Writing, HTML, Demos)

Opportunity
The key role played by O-Media in establishing the brand and tone of ISS marketing materials resulted in ISS looking to us to do the Technical Writing and Instructional Demos for the software’s Help Files.

Action
A dual approach for a standard HTML based text file with index and instructional demos was chosen. The developer team, including the in-house designer, gave us detailed instruction in how the software was to be used. From there in contextual dialogue boxes, help files and user guide were developed. Step-by-step Instructional demos were recorded – showing the software in action – demonstrating the software’s most common and complex concepts.

Result
In addition to being included in the software package, the Help File and Demos are also used by ISS as the basis of their training and certification programs.
